Parasummer 2009
SUMMARY? 869 jumps, 88 loads, Estonian record, lingerie dive (with tons of media coverage), FS3-competition, trackdive-competition, 20 tandem jumps, plane washing, tube-jump, demo jump to the concert of Kihnu-Virve, cross-country hüpe, canopy flight training, FS-training, FF-training, concerts of Rokiosakond and Märjutajad, zero non-jumpable days.
WHAT? Parasummer 2009, the 10th skydiving boogie organized by Skydive Estonia. We're flying although the economy is not!
WHERE? The boogie will be held at Rapla airfield (EERA) just 3 km from Rapla / 60 km from Tallinn.
WHEN? July 11 to 19, 2009.
COSTS? Registration fee is 200 kr (13 €) in advance or 300 kr (19 €) on site. Jump tickets: Islander (3500 m, 10 jumpers) 330 kr, Wilga (1500 m, 3 jumpers) 250 kr.
REQUIREMENTS? Jumpers have to meet or exceed the FAI requirements for a B-category certificate of proficiency. Reserves must have been packed no more than 6 months prior to the last day of the boogie. All rigs will be inspected by our riggers and will be tagged if compatible. Make sure to bring your log-book, certificate of proficiency or license (FAI, USPA or national), as well as reserve repack and Cypres (if you have one) check documents. If you want to freefly make sure to have BOC (not ROL or similar), no loose pouches either please.
AIRCRAFT? The club's own Britten-Norman "Islander". Wilga-35. Negotiations to get other planes are still underway. Hot air balloon jumps will be organized.
COACHES? Jari Kuosma (wingsuit, FI), Teppo Heikkinen (freeflying, FI).
ACCOMMODATION? The "official" sleeping place is the club's bunkhouse on Rapla airfield. Be fast, the number of beds is limited!All beds are taken but you may sleep on the floor if you bring your own mattress and sleeping bag. You can also bring your own tent or caravan, or stay at Krantsi Kõrts (3 km from airfield). There are also some hotels and motels in around Rapla. In the bunkhouse we have showers, toilet, and sauna (all included in the boogie fee).
FOOD? Breakfast and dinner will be served at the bunkhouse, and lunch on the dropzone. Several pubs and food markets can be found in the nearby town of Rapla. You can eat there or cook at the dropzone.
PARTIES? All parties are free for all boogie participants. Our club's band "Rokiosakond" is back!
